Thematic Presentation

Today Shannon and I gave our thematic presentation, overall I think it went really well.  It is a very difficult task to present an entire theme, while integrating multiple artists, and having the students involved in only 8 minutes.  We did not get through our entire presentation but did get to the last slide and were on our way to getting across our major point that although all of the artists we showed were different they all make their artwork accessible to the general public in innovative ways.
We got great feedback from our classmates however the constructive criticism we did get was beneficial.  I know as a teacher you always need to be aware of the words you use however I never thought to not use the word man-made, even if it is something brought to you by the students.  I also liked the idea of using the visual thesaurus in future lessons.  It is a great tool to use in the classroom, if only there was more time during the presentation students would have had the chance to come up and interact with it while using the smart board.
