Studio Exploration Project

For my studio exploration project I am intrigued by the idea of exploring the bathroom.  I am really interested in it's multiple functions, it's different textures,  and it's materials.  The idea of how others interact with the bathroom has been in my mind since I moved into a house.  For example I live in a house with four other people and someone is always in the bathroom using it in a different way, and treating the facility differently.
The multiple surfaces as well as substances in the bathroom are ideal.  I am  interested in the multiple materials I could use to create a piece of art work in the bathroom.  My artwork at this point in my career is all about exploration and learning about who I am as a person as well as an art, therefore I feel a mixed media assignment will highlight this process.  I plan to use mixed media that is only elements and materials that I can find in the bathroom.  I also want it to serve as an installation piece and let it act as a part of the bathroom and see how the other members of my house interact with the piece.
