Frameworks Assignment Post #1

Today's class made me realize the difficulties as well as the importance of art education.  Contemporary art education is a science that needs to be learned and studied to become effective. Teachers actions, student actions, student development, contextual environment, and ongoing process are the five components of Art Education that we discussed in class.  By working with a group to place methods of teaching in each category, I have realized that teaching as well as learning is a process.  A good teacher as well as a good student is always learning from one another, as well as changing their methods to adapt to their needs.  I came to this conclusion while making a web, because my group would put an idea down and it would relate to all of the teaching concepts.  This assignment has made me realize that as a teacher I plan to use these concepts but in a cycle  where students actions impact my actions as a teacher, where I then adapt the contextual environment which is an ongoing process to help my students.  However, I do believe there is room for change in this plan as well as in the classroom.
